Calorie counting....but its not adding up

I'm 3 weeks into my 500/w sust 30mg/d cycle and i've gained about 12 pounds so far but 10 pounds of that came in the first week (water weight?).

Now I seem to have stopped gaining weight and im thinking it might be because of my calorie intake...been reading that people are recommending 4k-4.5k calorie's a day! I just dont see that happening for me especially not when your eating correctly (healthy foods=less calories) so im wondering if I should buy some weightgainer to hit that 4k calorie/d goal or just keep eating healthy and hope to solidify and maybe still gain. I'm really digging how I thickened up just about everywhere and would like to see more of it but then again i've got a bit of a gut(im working on it) and would hate to add to it.

P.S I'm noticably thicker but im not really much stronger (maybe 10% since I started) ie arms have grown over an inch but strength hasnt gone up :-( does this make sense to anybody?
 
I used to think the same way..there is no way anyone can eat 4000k+ in a day...lol...but once you write it down on paper...you can see that its very possible and easy to do...have you written your diet down and added up all the cals...dont guess...get a piece of paper and jot it all down....you might see that you are actually not eating enough..right now im cutting and i feel like im not eating alot of food..but guess what...im around 2200 cals...and thats cutting my friend......but its easy to add in cals too....
 
No havent actually sat down and worked it out but I have been meaning to im quite certain im closer to your amount but tommorow i'll check it out
 
Diet is the key to bulking-cutting-maintaining etc....
I too thought getting in all those calories are hard but take this as an example a ANPB on wheat itself is about 300cals and eat 3-4 and ur at almost 1000cals alone on light wheat bread and anpb and too me that's a snack so another 2-3000 cals in actual meals doesn't seem that out of reach. writting it down will help tremendously.
 
Its very easy to do if you eat fast food, you can 1500 calories in one sitting. For me eating almonds or cashews, is an easy way to some extra calories. If your going to buy a weight gainer, I sugest you get up your mass, its suppose to be all complex carbs, the taste is ok, but its really thick and dry in water.
