Caloric timing.

If I want to put size on my chest, or any other muscle for that matter, would I want to eat bigger the day I am lifting so that I am essentially loading for my lifts? or is it better to eat heavier after I do my chest workout, like that night and the next day while my muscles are recovering?

Would one have a bigger effect than the other on my mass growth? or does it not make a difference?
 
something like carb cycling?

I think it would be better to eat heavier during the day so that you have enough fuel for your workout, and mantain the same the day after if the workout was powerful
