I tried the demo.
Good game, but focus is on single player.

I sont give a shit about single player so for my MP needs I'll stick to kickin ass in HALO & BF42.

Most important is something you probably dont have: a nice video card.

If you have a card with at least 64mb then you can play. At 64 it wouldnt be as pretty as it could be, but you could play.

Then a 1.5Ghz+ computer and MINIMUM 256mb ram (512 is way better).

If you got all that plus broadband internet then all u gotta do is buy the game.

HALO is futuristic, BF42 is WW2.
They are both great but I prefer Halo.

Ah don't get him on that Halo crap. Join the big boys in the Unreal Tournament community. UT2004 has been pushed back until feb 2004 but you can still get UT2003 and play that until the demo for UT2004 comes out. Plus if you get UT2003, you'll get a rebate for UT2004 plus you can download the Red Orchestra mod which is an awesome WWII realism mod.

UT is a kiddie spazz-fest. Spray n pray. He who has the bigger gun wins.

HALO has way more skill & strategy becuase you dont move at mach-5.

call of duty is cool, very polished and fun. I hope it sells well, the developers deserve the money (do they ever... what a drama behind that title :p)
 
I've been playing COD all day. I'd equate it to a longer "band of brothers" episode. Totally scripted, but very fast moving and entertaining.

I've been tempted to dload it, but I have a cap on my upload/dload, and therefore have to be very picky when it comes to sharing bandwidth.


How is the multiplayer?
 
MP won't work on the downloaded version. Sorry...gotta buy the game for that.

I'd say the single player game is well worth it though.
