I wonder how long it takes for this fire to be blamed on terrorists.

They already said that a detainee had been saying how they might plan to use fire.

And by the way, "California = Owned!" including a picture of wildfires that have killed people (and wildlife) and destroyed thousands of acres of forest is in pretty poor taste.

I apologize, but I do live there and probably will have to leave later today if things keep up. Trying to make light of the situation.

I dont' understand how people die from wildfires =/. It's like... when you fucking see smoke coming over the hill.... get teh fuck out! dayummnnn. My guess, greed kept them in their houses too long trying to get all their shit out into their cars, then they get burnt.

Also, I myself was rendered homeless for a short while after the fire in Northridge of 1989.

I remember that fire. I lived in Fontana at the time and was only 8 years old. At school we had to walk around with something to cover our nose and mouth to keep from inhailing ashes that were falling out of the sky like snowflakes. I remember for about 2 weeks it was an awesome site to see as the sun set and you could see where and how big the fire was on the side of the mountain. Goes to show how little control we have over fire.

Well, as a experienced wildlands firefighter, there are many things leading up to people getting killed by fire.

1. High winds drive fire incredibly fast, especially uphill

2. Smoke and steep/convoluted terrain make it hard to know where the fire is.

3. Lack of communication.

4. Exaustion.

5. Idiocy.
