buying a saturn

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! Youre much better off with just about anything else, not including a Kia. Ive had 2, I didnt really like the first one I had, but it got wrecked, and I ended up getting a second one. Theyre slow, dont get the advertised gas mileage, anstheseats are too uncomfortable. No matter how I sat, how the seat was reclined, I aways got cramps in my lower back, hip, and leg on long car rides.

bought a 92 saturn sl1.
second year model. first 60000 no problems, last 60000 miles i spent nearly $7000 in repairs and maintenance. has the transmission repalced in january 97, new tires brakes and suspension three months before that. then in april 97 the oil pump burst, floods the engine, they want $4000 for a new one. i went to several garages, the best deal i could have taken was $3100. the money i spent on repair work was used to purchase new jumpsuits for the saturn tech guys. a few called personally to thank me, some still send cards on my birthday. as far as being the official car of the gay community? im not gay. just dumb.

Saturns have lousy pickup only if you opt for the least-powerful engine and the automatic transmission. At least Saturns offer a manual transmission. As for me, I'd never buy a car -- only trucks and SUVs, and with 4X4 and the most powerful engine they offer.
