Buried a friend today...

Just got back a few hours ago from the funeral of a close friend of mine from work.

I havent been to a funeral in 25yrs, and the one I did go to, I was to young to remember, so this was definately a creepy event for me.

My friend passed away this past Sunday of a heart attack at age 49, but the weight of the situation really hadnt set in untill they raised the lid of the casket for viewing.

Its a shame people cant appreciate each other more untill it gets to this point.

Just my ramblings..

Rest in Peace Don.

I feel for ya. My dad passed away on Sunday as well. He wanted no services or anything though, so we just had family come to his hospital room to say goodbye. I should have his ashes on Monday.

I've been to a few wakes recently for parents of my friends...it never gets any easier and it seems to happen so much more frequently as I get older. :(

49 is very young.... for anything to happen.

Funerals are very hard to interpret, you are simply at loss at what is going on. Your brain RESISTS understanding the whole process of the person not existing in space, and in time, ever again.

Comfort whatever people that need comforting.

And remmeber, time heals the deepest wounds.

Sorry about the loss.
