what was the oldest thread you bumped and did someone threat you for doing it?

every once in a while i bump an old one
it really depends on who is online at the time.. digger gets pissed sometimes, but i never understood why.. sometimes they say its because it brings up posts from banned members that we are all trying to forget.. other people say its just worthless and annoying.
So some mods like to lock/delete.. others don't care.
I'd say if done seldomly and for some relevant purpose, why not?
