I wish they had comics on-line that could be subscribed to. that would kill some serious work time.

check out crossgen.com for online comics and also marvel.co for some free previews of comics.

That first link didn't work for me... I didn't get anything off the page.
I was an Avengers person and Spiderman fan... I liked the Xmen, but after awhile... their comic became 99% dialogue and 1% hinted at action... I like the old days where there was a major fight in every comic. The Xmen slowly became to resemble the YOung and The Restless. I never followed Cable, Bishop, or any of the new members, nor do I have any idea what their powers are. The last new member I read about was Longshot.

the new xmen comic is defintely different. if you haven't read comics in awhile i would check out this stuff
origin by marvel(wolverines origin)
daredevil(underboss and out collected issues) great
planetary(wildstorm/dc) the most interesting comic i've ever read, different than anything out there.
hulk by bruce jones the best take on the hulk in along time.
these books aren't your normal spandex clad superhero beat em up, these books are a good read regardless of whether you like comics or not.

Is The Thing still around?He used to be one of my favorites.
I can remember as a 5 year old kid,my highlight was every week my mom and dad would take me down to 7/11,and I got to pick out a comic.Every now and then I'd get to grab one of those GIANT spiderman books,the thing was like a billboard.I could be entertained by one of those things for months,lol.

i had a giant one of them, i think it was superman/hulk/dr doom...Coloring book or something? I'm not sure.
