Broly Crew: is there one?

Is there a 'broly crew' on this board?

one that expemplifies all that is muscle? One that knows all about proper lifting, diet/nutrition ...

what about crunking crew? Is there a crew specifically for grip work, pinching strength, etc?

I'd like to discuss my new crunker...I got the RB240 narrow and its pretty intense...

discuss

JA also has good methods of gaining size and using juice properly.

He's been doing this stuff for years, so it's safe to leave your trust in him.

i was told to come here for the non plat circle jerk, is this the right place?

i'm pretty much the leader of both crews on this site, what u need?
lets talk handgrippers.

do you use them? I love them, a friend of mine got me turned onto them once I got heavily (no pun) into deadlifting. I'm constantly working on my grip work now.

what do you use?

you down with the captains of crush series?

my impression is that your best bet is to focus more on things like static holds and other specific exercises which will translate over into increased grip strength during movements like the deadlift. crushing strength (the kind you develop by using a hand gripper), while it may contribute something, won't be as helpful when it comes to holding a barbell with more and more weight on it.

if you just want to increase your strength when it comes to all kinds of gripping, that's different.

of course, i don't do any of this anymore and i have never trained grip specifically much (beyond static holds and plate pinches and forearm curls here and there), so take this with a grain of salt.

damn.
i have a feeling i'm going to regret something. :(

I like the RB's better. they seem to be a little bit more resiliant and a lot tougher. I get the COC2 for 10(L) and 12(R) and the RB180 is the same amount of resistance. The 240 is a little heavier than the COC3 as I can get that 3(L) and 5(R) well a good 4 close and the last is off a few hairs.

I do hub holds and work on my pinching strength as well. I'm jsut trying to improve my grip for better results in the gym...ie pulling...

these are what I order:

tell me how!

I don't know what you weigh, but you could bench more than that. I won't say here what i bench, but if i can get my bench to bodyweight ratio to what i have, you can- I gain muscle/strength very slowly, don't eat nearly enough protien, and i'm drug free.

I can send you a 10 or 12 week (I can't remember) bench program with auxillary work that will help if you want it.

255 max so far.
well I was referring to grip strength. I do believe that grip does play a part in bench but not THAT much where it will keep your numbers down a considerable amount.

i personally have never used either COC or RB (never even heard of these), since i never tried to improve using grippers. luckily i was always weak enough in my main movements that my grip strength could improve modestly and stay in line with my overall strength developement. nothing but chalk occasionally when i was pulling.

expensive grippers. they break everyone sometimes, have you had to replace them? closing the COC3 (or equivalent) for a multiple is pretty darned good.

what is a hub hold? is grip a weak point in any of your big moves, or are you ok? do you pull conventional or sumo? mixed grip or overhand?

i just sent you a pm.
if you have long arms, benching might be harder for you. and you may not have great form either, but I can't help you with that unless you can take a vid of you benching.
