breaking Vitamin e gelcaps, any dangers?

I picked up some Vitamin E gelcaps but I have a problem swallowing pills, is it bad if I break the gelcaps and intake the oil in the cap, I didn't know if it was dangerous to do this or if it effected absorbtion or not.

Yeah I know, I really need to get used to swallowing pills

you'll never be able to get all the oil out of it, so there will be some waste. I think you'd be better off dropping it in hot oatmeal or something which will make it VERY soft and if it's in the oatmeal you wont even notice eating it. Just my .02

actually that is what I am doing right now, putting the geltab in oatmeal but the heat tends to make them break very easy in mouth, I was just wondering since while on the bottle of Nature Made vitamins it says nothing but on a few online sites I have seen where it says on geltabs not to bite/break into them, or is this just because there is an oil inside or effect aborbancy? I never thought about it until I saw this note online.

just practice swallowing pills it may be hell for a week but you gotta get used to it eventually

Dude it's just a pill... just keep trying and you'll get it- vit E gelcaps are tiny anyways.
