Breaking amps

I've been using redi-jects, but I ran out and I have to use my amps now. The amps always shatter when I break them and small pieces of glass fall into the amp. Is it a problem injecting tiny pieces of glass along with my sust????

i would think it would be a problem if you inject glass, but my sus always broke off easy. just grip with fingers around it and put thumb on tip and push. if not get something and make a nitch/groove in it so it will break cleaner.

Try getting an ampoule opener, makes life a whole lot easier.

chances of pulling glass (even the juice for that matter lol) up into the needle/syringe is far fetched. also like stated, file the neck and then get a pen cap and pop it off with as little pressure as you can w/o breaking it. ICN's are something you don't want to mess with if you can't handle sust amps though.

use a filter needle boys...put your alk swab unopened over the amp folded around the top so you don't cut yourself and tilt away.

Just put a pen cap over the top of the amp and give it a quick snap...pops right off...

i grab some toliet paper, wad it up, wrap it around the amp and slightly crack it, comes off clean.

I hold the amp in a towel and put a pen cap over the end with the other hand and then snap it. Easy and safe.

I don't think you would need to worry about glass, as long as you are not drawing the oil w/ a 10 gauge needle.

Buy an amp opener...you won't be sorry...
