Breaking Amps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you guys use besides file to open amps??? I've always used files to score the top but last night I did that like usual and I broke the fucking amp!!! pissed me off. I know that there is an amp opener available but I dont know where?

You don't even need a file. I use any ridged steak knife. Alll you have to do is put the tiniest scratch on the glass.

The big mistake people make is breaking the amp cautiosly. Once you've scored it slightly... give the top a firm, quick push... no hesitation.

if you look around you can find amp openers... also a pen lid works... guess i will find out soon howhard it is.

I score mine with a steak knife,then use a pen cap to snap the top off .I have never broke an amp out of 30 attempts.knock on wood!

if you do one long hard stroke with a steel file the top should just drop right off

Amp opener is cool but the pen cap works just as good no jokes.

I just score it with a steak knife and wrap a little toilet paper around it and snap it. I learned this one the hard way by having some glass fragments go into my thumb when I did not use toilet paper.

I dont like those amp openers. maybe i go too far with it, but i score it ALL the way around, it only takes a few seconds of my time and at that point all i have to do is flick it with my finger or just barely touch it and it flies right off. Why take the chance of breaking it? well anyway thats what works best for me, even if it is a little unneccessary.
