As the new Prezzzzzz of our PUD homeowners association (Planned Urban Development - its a condo development), I need to investigate rules and regulations and if we can hold a block party or not............you are the research bruh...........got any insight? Anyone? K!

Its already built, but I need to find out what others are doing, I've searched and searched.........yes we have a Board and a HOA......any sites you know of????

explain to me a little more about what you are trying to do? hold a block party in your neighborhood? so you want to know if you will be in compliance with:

1) the city?

or

2) your PUD rules?

which one?

Ok bruh...here is what I want to do...........I want to first draw up a letter asking people whether or not they would approve a board sponsored block party where we used about $150 of the current dues and hosted it.....#2 if people would come and bring a dish, #3 the legality issues associated with using a little bit of their dues to host, and finally, a flyer (assuming everyone said yeah!)............thnnx broski!

$150 from EACH person's dues?

well, basically you need to talk to the HOA manager and they will know all your specific by-laws and what you are or aren't allowed to do.

there isn't typically a line item in the budget for this specifically, so it would either have to be

1) A "special assessment" in which case it would be $5 higher than normal on their HOA dues this month.

or

2) In the letter you write you would just say if you want to come down to the pool and enjoy the food and watch johnny blow his hand off with a firecracker bring $5 and you can join the fun.

you need to specify to the HOA manager what it is exactly you're trying to do though.

will there be alcohol involved? is this at 10am or 10pm? you mentioned the food already.

some of this will be in the condo docs, which again, the HOA manager should know by heart. call him/her up and chat about it you'll get all the info you need.

also make sure you include in the letter with what food to bring about the ban on refined carbs.......

Bran - I need a sample letter from a site.....something to serve as a friendly reminder for some residents whom have forgotten that dues increased to $100 as June 1, 2004. Thanks bruh............
