BP Question

I have a buddy going on as soon and yesterday his BP was at 130/90. I told him that was high and I would check to see if it was ok to start by going on here and getting advice. Also is there anything over the counter that will help him with his BP while on as. He is only doing a 5 week winstrol cycle.

What is the BP due to? Different things can raise a person's BP, so merely shooting a quick hit BP fix isn't prudent. He should be checked first by his doc to establish the etiology of the BP.
If he has BP issues, the AS isn't a route to be traveled.
Hope I helped.

Well according to him, he did AS once before and started getting lightheaded halfway through the cycle. He stopped and someone told him to check his BP. It was 150/95 so he stopped and hasnt done it since. When he checked his BP yesterday it was 130/90 but he had been drinking all weekend. He checked it again today and it was 130/80 so I'm not really sure. He said he was getting lightheaded for about 2 months after stopping the AS but it was very sudden and happened at different times throughout the day including just lying down and this is why he is nervous about doing it again. He is only doing winstrol and read it doesnt really affect your BP so I'm not sure what to tell him at this point. He did tell me that about 2 months ago he was at the doctors and they checked his BP and it was fine so I'm thinking the escalated BP was only from the AS and if that is the case it will only be escalated for 5 weeks and that isnt bad? I'm not sure though so any help here would be greatly appreciated.

If he saw a doc and was fine, then I would lean towards the winstrol affecting his BP[without knowing his history and doing a check on him]. As far as the "only a 5 week BP raise not being bad"... there is no such thing. High BP is bad, period - especially if you knowingly contribute to it's rise. You never know what a higher BP can do, and if there is a weak link somewhere in a vein or artery that just needs a little push to start something bad.
I would never tell someone to knowingly take something to raise his/her BP abover normal unless medically warranted. This isn't the case.
If your friend knows he has BP issues, and knows the risks of As, and STILL wants to take them, then saying his priorities are backwards is a big understatement. Help him make the right choice for his health.
Safety first, everything else is secondary.
Hope I helped.

Ok one last question....Do you think if he took the winny and monitored his BP the whole time he was on it and stopped if it got too high would that be ok...and what is too high? Is 130/90 too high? He is only 24 years old and I have heard numbers a lot higher than that before people were concerned (maybe I'm totally wrong)

Yes, people get concerned with higher BP numbers...and the higher numbers are when most problems begin to happen in the body. But why wait until then? Many[not all] times you can avoid all the rest of the mess if could curtail an issue [like BP] right away. To be 24 and have BP issues isn't a good way to head towards the later decades, when things aren't so well tolerated or corrected.
Having said that, if he is to continue the win, then he should monitor his BP daily, like someone taking meds has to do. If he sees spikes in his numbers, then taper off, soon he may see a pattern. Also try to get a handle on stressors in his life, and watch the diet for salt.
As you can see, I come from the thinking that if you can avoid a problem, do so...you'll be way ahead of the game. Many health problems later in life are results from neglect and poor maintanence of the body - smoking on the lungs, diabetes 2, atherosclerosis, weight, etc.
Take care of your body like you do a car, and it will take care of you.
Good luck, and I hope I helped.

The 90 portion is too high, the 130 isnt too bad.
