Bodyfat Question

A few things about BF...

1) How and where do I go to to get my bodyfat tested?

2) About how much bodyfat do the pro bodybuilders have when they're in season, and like... competing?

3) Is it possible to maintain that BF (the bodybuilder competing percentage) all year round? Or is that unhealthy?

Thanks!

someone in your gym will be able to test you with calipers... There are other methods but... I bought my own calipers and i know i am not doing it right!

I think the pro's get down to aroud 3 percent

Staying super lean would probaly not be great year round and would definitely make gaining lean mass difficult... Hovering around 11 percent while bulking then cutting down to around 7 percent would be a decent strategy...

Yah, 3% is like, sickly man.. haha. If it wasn't for that muscle you'd laugh and call them anorexic.

But hey, would 7% show a six-pack through? 11% doesn't even sound all that bad...

I'm talking about once I bulk enough for right now and Summer rolls by, I wanna stay lean, and at a good BF... so then I'd best bulk good now.

6 meals a day, 2400-700 calories or so (I'm 6', 165 lbs, and 15)

This enough?

Well....

1. Best meathod is hydrostatic (underwater). Only need to do this every 6 months (if you can) to get a very accurate reading, but you gotta search for places that do it at a reasonable price. Otherwise, you can track with calipers.

2. NEVER SHOOT FOR WHAT COMPETITION BODYBUILDERS DO. A lot of them use serious gear to mass bulk and then mass cut for competition. It's very unhealthy. You will likely (if you are already at your desired BF% more or less), just bulk until you add 2" to your waist then cut to get it off. It's more stable, doesn't require gear to work with, and is very safe.

3. No. Even maintaining such low BF% for competition can kill you. People have died of dehydration complications in competition because of how unrealistically lean these guys have to be to win.
