Body fat measured at 7.2 % yesterday. How accurate are the calipers?

Before working out yesterday, I weighed in at 197 lbs (6'2") and 7.2% body fat. I was surprised at how low it was. I would have guessed in the 9-10 range. Anyway, just wondering how accurate the caliper method is.

Which

calipers are you talking about man? If you don't know which ones you have, go to The Rusty Iron Bodyfat Calculator Page, or go to the web and type in Bodyfat calipers....they're all there, and rated by accuracy. If they're cheap, the accuracy sucks, or has a wider range of error. :D

One of the fitness people that works at my gym did the measurement. They looked pretty expensive. They had their own box with preformed felt lining.

I know the dunk tank is the most accurate way to go, but who has access to one of those?

Damn people, can I get some congrats for my body fat?!?!?!:D

Congrats on not being a FAT ASS. I think my bf% is right around 8-9 but I may need to try out the calipers just to see.

Congrats again

Yeah...I just threw that out but would think it close.
Have you try other methods?
I do a couple different ones and average.

I'd like for a different person to measure me to see what they get but there's only one person that does it at my gym. I've heard the scale that uses electricity is even more inaccurate than the calipers.

The

machine that measures with a tiny current of electricity is even more inaccurate than the calipers, you're right.

And oh yea, good bodyfat level...damn good.

You stringbean:D :D J Joking......man!
