So to make a long story short for the past number of years I have been on self medicated TRT. About 5 years ago I started exhibiting the common side effects of low T. I went to see my GP and he sent me in for testing. My testosterone level came back at 10.2nmol/l ref range 8.4 a 28.8, I'm in Canada). I guess it didn't matter that my levels at 33 years old mimicked those of a 75year old man, because I fell within the "normal" range I was denied any help.
I tried to seek out another doc who would be more proactive towards my issue but didn't have any luck so started Self medicating . I'd done a few cycles in my youth so pinning wasn't all that foreign to me but Not having a script certainly wasn't ideal as I travel a lot for work for long periods and this caused me to be ON/OFF quite often - def not ideal, and has caused tons of ups and downs both mentally and physically.
Anyways, this story is getting way longer than it needs to haha....
I have FINALLY found a doc who will listen to me and help me out, send me for blood work 4x a year and monitor me for any issues. Needless to say I am overjoyed
I gave him all u past blood work demonstrating my low T issues but of course he needs something more current. He's sent me for an initial blood test to see where I was at currently hormonoly and health wise. This was 3 days after my self prescribed TRT shot of 125mg. (I was using 125mg every 4 days which was probably a touch on the high side) these were the results of the testosterone/estrogen portion:
Estradiol 240pmo/l (ref <150)
Testosterone 45nmol/l (Ref 8.4-28.8)
Free Test 1497pmol/l. (ref 170-630)
Bioavailable Test 34.1nmol/l. (ref 4.7-15)
SHBG 10.9nmol/L (ref 10-70)
as expected all are too high. Since my base line tests exhibiting my low T were done a few years back, my doc required a more recent test demonstrating my T being "clinically low" before he can prescribe TRT to me.
He has given me another requisition for another set of bloodwork,
If these were my levels 3 days after my last shot and it has now been 18 days, when should I go have blood drawn to show my levels being Low? Would now be a safe bet? All I have taken during these 18 days was 12.5mg of aromasin to hopefully get the estro back down as I wasn't feeling all that great.
Looking forward to getting everything all under control and feeling better in short order! Thanks in advance for the input.
