Blood work expensive? ins pay?

Just wonder if there is a way to get your insurance to pay for your blood work? Or do they normally do that?

Blood work is expensive isnt it?

Could I go to the doctor complaining my liver and kidneys hurt so he would have to get blood work done? Then ins would have to pay?

Insurance should pay, just say you want to make sure everything is ok. If not, I think it's only like $200 anyway. I know someone who had no insurance and needed a blood test before gyno operation. If I remember correctly, cost him around $200. Don't know if that's dependent on what they test for.

Most insurance will pay for it, and pay for a doctor to view/interpret it.

ins pays for it....just include it as part of ur physical

If you are going to ask the doctor for tests keep in mind that you need to state that you are having specific symptoms to warrant the test. DRJMW from this board is constantly offering to write a request for any type of blood test you need for a very small fee. Call quest diagnostics and get a quote from them and look up DRJMW.
