First of all I did do a search on this before posting... Nothing in the results even came close to what was searched for.

Quick question:
If I was going to check to see what my pre and post test levels are which test would I get done?

Free Testosterone
or
Total Testosterone

One is $30 and the other is $105

I've been going through a lot of testing lately. From my understanding the Free Test is what's available for your body to use. The rest is bound up by SBHG.

You really need both I think to make a determination. My free test is in the low normal range, but my total test is way below normal. That is why he's considering placing me on HRT.

Thanks. I wonder if that is why the free test (test) was more expensive.
