Blenders

Looking for a good office blender........something that isn't too loud, but enough power to crush ice or at least peanut butter....anyone have one of thos blenders in which the jar is actually a drinking cup? How do the hand blenders work? What about that battery one that GNC always has on display? Any advice? Where to shop?

I have one of the GNC hand blenders. I am lucky that it can mix protein powder and milk. No way it could do a banana let alone ice.

I have used a hand blender and it sucked big ass. It was fine for mixing liquid stuff but if you want to crush ice you need the real deal eletric blender. Try putting a towel or 2 over it while you run it that should quiet it down a bit.
