Blackberry Pearls suck

I have never had so many damn problems with a phone in my life.

This is the second time it won't let me access any messages and defaults to the send a message screen when I try to access my stored numbers.

Took out the battery to reset it and for 5 minutes all I get is the little spinning hourglass.

Anyone have any suggestions on a decent phone? Is the Blackberry 8800 worth a shit or no?

I am looking at the 8800 now but if it is as bad as the pearl it may be returned with a bullet or two through it.

Looking for a reliable phone I can access emails and message with, when not by a computer, that isn't going to take a shit on me as soon as it is purchased.

Someoone out there has a good phone.

No way in hell am I going to buy a first gen iphone. I don't need the video nor mp3 player. This is a work phone and I have an mp3 player. The kinks won't be worked out at least until 3rd generation.

LOL isn't the 8800 more expensive than the iphone anyway? Money is not the issue, reliability is the issue.

Well 3 different stores and over 2 hours with customer service reps have not been able to tell me how to unblock my number nor why it suddenly went to restricted on its own.
