ok, i bought paranoid a few weeks ago, and god damn, what a good cd. i was thinking of picking up 'sabotage' next, since i love that song megalomania. what do you guys think? should i get different sabbath cd before i get that one?

If you get a chance get "We Sold Our Soul For Rock & Roll". Probably the best Sabbath CD I've ever heard.

yeah anything with Dio or any other front man sucks. The OZZY black sabbath albums are the tops. Those mofo's were able to combine hard rock and a little bit of blues and made it sound awesome.

May I suggest a CD set I got a few years back as a gift...

Black Sabbath: The Ozzy Osbourne Years. It used to be under "imports" on CD Now, and it used to be reasonably priced for a CD set, dunno if that's true anymore (I got my Piper at the Gates of Dawn mono from them for half the price it was a month later). This shit has every kick-ass Sabbath song.

Get sabbath bloody sabbath. Has anyone ever seen the "video" they made for ironman? I think Ozzy's just floating in the foreground with some tie-dye stuff going on in the background...it's definitely mall quality, a real trip.

Any other front man besides OZZY just isnt' right. Very similar to Rock Legends.... Van Halen. Dude with David Lee Roth they were in your face, loud as hell, talking about doing drugs and beautiful girls and sexy teachers and all that 80's shit. But dude when they got Sammy Hagar.... it was almost as if they all got estrogen implants, singing about love and all that bullshit. They got soft.

(FYI although it may seem like I'm in highschool by my post above I assure you that I'm not.)
