For some reason they have not passed a law where I live saying no door to door selling so we used to get people coming to the door selling stuff, but I thought I had stopped that when I put up a no solicitors sign on the mail box but yesterday it didn't work.
This guy came to the door and because he was big and looked like a lifter my wife let him in. She said she heard the doorbell so she looked out and he was built like me so she opened the door and asked him if he was looking for me and he said yes so she let him.
She then came and knocked on the bathroom door and said your buddy is here. So I walk out into the living room and I have never seen this guy before so I asked him what he wanted and he said he was selling magazines. I then looked at my wife and asked why she had let him in and she said because he had told her he knew me so she let him in.
Anyway while she was telling me this I went over to the door opened it then grabbed my ball bat and told him to leave.
He leaves but he is still trying to sell magazines while I am calling him a liar for tricking my wife. He then starts walking next door to another house. We know the people next door and know her husband is always late getting in so that makes me think he might try the same thing. I have my wife start calling 911 and then I start next door. He was just about to ring the bell when I yelled at him that if he touches it I am going to break his legs. By this time I am starting to run but he looks right at me and punches the bell anyway. Then he takes off running down the sidewalk at a speed I knew I couldn't match so I stopped.
The cops showed up about 10 minutes later but couldn't find the guy. Now I feel violated as hell cause I realize just how fast someone can get into your house and do harm cause we as humans are just stupid.
I didn't even yell at my wife cause I figured I might have done the same thing. Anyway I guarantee that won't happen again cause it was scary as hell.
