This new local place called Fuel sells many things with bison meat and im wondering how good it is for massing up

Bison meat is great, tastes just as good as steak (if not better), and is low fat, and low cholestorol.

Bison meat is some of the best meat around. It has a higher protein content, as well as lower fat content. Taste is dependent because my girlfriend, who is a big steak (beef) eater, doesn't like bison. I, on the other hand, love it and would eat bison all the time if I could but it is expensive.

I had Bison Meat once...It was damn good. Very lean, but without the chewiness
of venison

Its region dependant though, I grew up in the southwest and it was common to get it. It was pretty good too. I ordered it up here in NY and it was pretty crappy. I guess they just dont have fresh buffalo here.

By the way, has anyone ever had a beefalo? Half cow / half buffalo.

try to get bison meat that's grass fed, as opposed to grain fed...it's much higher in cla and omega 3 fats.

wooden nickel buffalo farm in edinboro, off of I-79 shortly before you get to erie. if you are anywhere near that, or traveling anywhere near that, you can get some bison there. it's kind of expensive though, but it's good meat.

i know i've heard of another place in western/ north-western PA. i'll have to see if i can find it again.

i think northstar bison ranch has a website....do a search and order it online. a lil more expensive, but prob there's a volume discount.
