Bin Laden tape, more war propaganda?

let's analyze this. speaking as a conservative, i dont' think it is. i think it is to show the world he was responsible and should be brought to justice.

i will try to do this like a lib. yes, it's more propaganda to drum up support for the war. did the government really have to release it? maybe not but they did to gain more support for the war. all it does is basically place people back into the mindset they were in after the attacks. typical right wing tactic.

well, now you decide. i think it was necessary to show the world it was OBL who planned the attacks. it could be considered a way to keep people fired up for war. i personally am glad they released the tapes. comments anyone?

I can't think of any reason not to release it .. (possible hidden codes and translating problems being the main reasons delaying the releasing).

However I always wondered how difficult it would be to "animate" a realistic looking video tape with "real" people doing things they never did.

I take that tape with a grain of salt.....if it was released shortly after they found it, than I'd beleive it.....but I also know that a new Bruce Lee movie is coming out, yep, a cinematic studio has been able to COMPLETELY reproduce Bruce Lee in realtime.......where no one will be able to tell it's not a real character. That technology is a little disturbing to me. And no, this isn't some glorified cut & paste of old Lee footage.....this is actual digital recreation of an actor, in REAL TIME!! So if some korean movie studio can do a whole damn film with someone who's been dead for 30 years.........well, you get the point.

Let me give my oppinion on this

I watched the tape and I speak fluent arabic aswell as my family. And I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that I did not understand a damn thing of what he was saying.

I stood right next to the television, put the volume on full blast and could understand very little of what was being said. My friends who also speak arabic agreed with me on this. I could hear him talk about the 10/11 attacks but I did not hear him gloat about it or anything that would link him with it.

Now I find it hard to believe that he would allow him self to be recorded saying those things and leave it lying around. IMHO, I think the united states did not have any proof of bin ladens invlolvment in the 10/11 attacks and fabricated this tape to justify there cause for this war.

Yeah right and we are all just dreaming---and the 9/11 attacks did not happen. or better yet---the planes that went into the buildings were flown by american airline pilots that were disgrunted...And Bin Laden never did any terrorist acts prior to 9/11 either. If bin laden was so innocent ---why is he hidding in caves---why didn't he just defend himself right when it happend. Reason=Guilty

I will also go as far as to say even if he had nothing to do with it, and our own government did. I thank the government for using a guy that treats woman and other human beings as the scapegoat. Its not like we are getting rid of a good human being. How many humans does this guy alone have under his belt for killing. He has killed and repressed so many people with his silly way of thinking.

I did not say that the american government was involved in the 9/11 terrorist attack. But I do think they are using it to there advantage somewhat to take control of the region exactly the same way they did in the gulf war.

They are hyping up Bin Ladin like they did with sadam so they could occupie the gulf region, control the flow of oil and take it at ridicuosly cheap prices to boost there economy.
