Skimmed milk is a great source of protein with little fat

But milk is rich in carbs

and though milk have a pretty low glycemic index its Insulin index is up to six fold its glycemic index
 
other than it's a great source of vitamins, vitd, calcium, etc.....extremely convienient and high in protein while low in fats, and carbs...it SUCKS!

it's not a great source of vitamins.. calcium(which is a mineral).. not bad..
and 12g carb is low, but 8g protein is high? whatever :p

Nowadays you can find calcium in almost any food (from fortified bread to shakes)
