I am going to pre-order Monster Hunter Tri for the wii, but I dont know what controller I should use. Wii + Nunchuck or Classic Wii Controller?
The Classic controller is going to be your best bet. The reason is that you get the second analog stick to move the camera with. Using the d-pad to move the camera is going to be painfully annoying and in the case of monster hunter, its going to cost you your life a couple dozen times.
You have to constantly switch between targets in that game and there'll always be an enemy behind you if you're not carefull.
The game comes with the classic controller pro in a bundle if you want to do that, as the regular classic controller has a nice retro feel to it, drawing back from the NES, but doesn't actually feel good in your hands, being in the oval shape that it is.. I guess they didn't realize that having the handles was to "improve" the controller. What I did was buy an attachment which added the handles.
