Best online broker?

I don't want to have to pay a minimum up front to buy. I don't mind paying comission or a low monthly fee. Anyone know of a good broker that fits the bill?

I've never purchased any stock before. I'm pretty new to the stock market. I guess this is a buyers market, though. Many fear the economic consequences of war. But, historically war-time drives stock prices up. I'm optimistic.

Check out Ameritrade it comes close to what you are looking for. I use them and Etrade.

I use Etrade. It is a good idea to sign up for a level II account so you can short stocks. I'm in a short position on United Airlines right now.

I pay $14.95/trade. Sometimes they give you free stuff or money to sign up for an account.

E*Trade is a piece of shit; they constantly fuck up market orders and tie
up your capital with open orders due to a system they agree is shitty but
refuse to upgrade or repair the glitches on. If you want to know more,
drop me a line.

back in the day suretrade didn't have a min i started it with 200, now though they are quickandreilly so i don't know anymore
