best new cheap car

Just got a new job and will be putting about 50K a year on my ride so I want to but a car just for work. Looking for something to get me 200K over 4 years. Are any of the cars around the 10K price worth a shit. By the way it will be 100% highway miles.

Buy a couple year old Honda Civic - look for as low miles as you can find. If you are gonna run that many miles up on the car, whats 20k to start? That way, the first owner takes the biggest hit on the depreciation of the car.

Yes, I like that theory also. I have also heard good about hyundais, and there 100,000mile/10yr. warranty sounds good also.
