...a birthday gift/surprise for your SO?
I got a few ideas but wanna make this one memorable and extra special.

Ladeez i'd like your 2 cents too please..what would blow you away?

learn how to go down on her

^^^def this.lol

personally one of the best surprises i got from my ex was a hike he planned. i love hiking and a few other outdoorsy things, so we started our hike, breathtakingly beautiful trail BTW. anyways they have areas where you can rent a plot of land and people come camping and stuff i guess. when we got there, it was all set up, tent up, very romantically furnished inside, food, wine, comfy. it was really nice, we even did the whole campfire thing, toasting everything in the fire.lol

if she likes the outdoors, you can do something like this. you can be back the next day.

I'm a tough one to ask... there is very little that could "blow me away" and that is because what I want can not be bought.

I like idea trip. That would be very nice surprise. Plan the whole thing from start to finish and try to pull it off without her knowing about it. My sister did this for her husband for his 40th birthday. She planned/booked a trip to Vegas (where his sister's family lives who they hadn't seen for years). He had NO CLUE until they were about to board the flight. She packed her whole family including their three young kids. I have no idea how she pulled it off, but she did. :)

Sorry I couldn't help more.

You helped just fine thanks, i wanted to hear peoples' ideas.

I took her to Barbados last year <-- that she loved. I could do the whole trip thing again but it might seem a little unimaginative 2 times running...dunno

wanna do something random and different but stumped for ideas

I dunno, I wouldn't mind a surprise trip somewhere every quarter. Does that make me spoiled? ;)

Are you married? Is your fella rich? if yes, then to answer your question - yep, cos you probably get that anyway ;)

Yes I am married and my hubbie used to pull down najor bank, then he kinda lost it all but like a dope, I married him anyways and currently we just OWE a lot of money. LOL

I know without question that when the money situation gets better there will be all sorts of surprises for me, but still the one thing I want the most can not be bought.

Nothing money can't buy if you really want it, debateable but true. so what are you referrering to?

Re hot air ballon, funny but she did that earlier this year as a treat from her workplace. i wouldn't mind it..would prefer a skydive though! but this isn't supposed to be about me

Trust me when I tell you that there most certainly are things that money can't buy: respect, love, freedom, honor to name a few. But for me specifically -

Children

Sky-diving?... You are nutty! :worried: The Old Grump usedta jump outta airplanes. Don't think he'd wanna do that no more. 'Course if he did that nowadays no one would be shooting at his old ass so it might not be so bad for him. :lmao:

You sound like a really great S/O, very attentive and thoughtfull of your partner's needs.

Children - ivf?surrogacy?adoption? aren't they options?

Thank you, but it's very much a two-way thing. She treats me like her king and so only deserves to be treated like a queen...and nope i'll never be ashamed to say that

What about a pug? you wimminz like your small ugly handbag dogs right? ;)

We are both too old to have anymore children and we are prevented from parenting our own. My custody nightmare has been all over the intrawebs for longer than I care to remember and this is a happy thread so let me just say that no matter how badly we both want children, it just isn't in the cards any time soon.

He is allergic to cats. Though we have a sizeable (empty) house the property is not big enough to justify a substantial dog. He doesn't like little dogs and I'm not committed enough to care for one by myself.

We have krabbles and fish and a snake and a gecko. That will have to do. :supercool

You really do sound like a wonderful partner. I hope your lady is very good to you. My husband treats me like I am the only woman alive.

Let us know what you surprise your lady with, won't you? I LOVE to hear happy news from people. Gives me a reason to smile. :)

So we have the possibility of a dog (possibly crabs, fish, reptiles), sky diving and the (inevitable) cunnilingus..
gotta say i'm leaning towards the skydiving idea.
or maybe a day on the tracks...she likes fast cars (but drives like a maniac!)

I've never been to see race cars but I hear that it is quite an experience. Another thing that I've never done that I would like to do is go to the horse races, think "pretty woman"-esque, hat, gloves and all.
