benadryl and DNP

Most people say to have Benadryl on hand in case of an allergic reaction such as hives. When doing research some say use topical Benadryl some say oral. Some advise against using one or the other. Which do I use and what other DNP allergic reactions will it help? Thanks!

if you get the hives... Benadryl will do shit for it... Go to the doc and get the strong anti-h... Happened to me and i was miserable for 5 days until i went to the doc

Ben didnt do shit for me (my reaction was bad).
Topical is not what your looking for. You arent treating a localized site like with posion oak/ivy. DNP is ingested and therfore systemic and the allergic reation is also systemic. Take anti-h's orally.

If u get a reaction go to doc....Benadryl is not good for rashes....Doc will give ya an anti-hyst and some steroids (non anabolic of course) and the rash will go away in an instant!

Hehe. There's the catch. The only thing that cures hives for me is Medrol. Oddly enough I don't have any drug allergies...it's the damn weeds that gets me.

Benadryl does absolutely nothing as far as I can tell.

Guys,I'm currently running a herbal preparation that Macro referred to me that prevents 'granulation and release' of histamines before they ever develope...If it works,I will put up a post after this 28 day run of it and DNP...So far so good,and I'm pretty damn allergic to DNP...Those hives are a mutha...

i took a claritin-d the other day with my 200mg crystal, and had nose bleeds for the next 48 hours. i guess i'll live with my allergies (not from dnp) from now on.

You dont need to go to the emergency... Just make an app with your doc... Get medrol prescribed... Also you do get bad nose bleeds while on DNP

I think Ben is more for allergies, not allergic reaction. corticos are not needed unless your rection is severe. A strong anti-h from a doc should do.

that is the catch.....but usually only on for a short time.....it is the only thing that wiull work for a really bad reaction.....at least for me it was!

Lewd, benadryl works fine as an antihistamine but the only problem is that a good dose (one that works) for an adult male is two times the recomended amount on the box. This WILL make you drowsy if you are not use to taking it. The best is claritin. 10mg once a day is the recommended dose but you can easily take 20mg without any side effects. During ragweed season I have taken 30mg in day (my friend is a doc and he said he does the same and it's fine) and have had nothing more than dry mouth.
