When the government bans something it doesn't disappear from existence. There's already a 'ban' on homicide yet people still kill each other. I think historically when the government bans things it only creates an industry operated at times by violent people. Often in the case of gang violence that Stein decries the gun violence is created by a government ban on recreational drugs. Lift the ban on recreational drugs. Perhaps the wiser alternative would be to ban less.

I do not abide by gun free zones anyway, used to carry to my nieces school programs all the time, Private Christian School, so I was weary of some ragheaded Muslim fuckers!

The people who use them irresponsibly will just find other ways to create chaos, as they do already. Gun bans will just leave the innocent people helpless to protecting themselves. I don't think banning things is a fix, it's more of a band-aid that sometimes doesn't even work at all. I don't understand this...

The ones that preach ban guns are the ones that need to be shot the most. IMO Ben would be much more attractive if his face looked like swiss cheese. Of the red variety.

It's not the guns that are the problem it's the idiots behind them.
Banning guns will not help changing the way they are regulated. You know we have more guns per capita in Canada then the US does and our gun crimes are non existent in comparison.
Auto weapons and hand guns really have very little use for the "hunters" so who will buy them but criminals and those about to be criminals. Many deaths could be stopped if the availability was limited. imo.
And punishment should fit the crime as well but that's on both sides of the border.

not sure he said ban guns, thought i heard rethink this gun culture.
banning guns is stupid. they won't disappear. the more you ban something the more it will be done. Look at steroids, etc. One could argue that sex causes crime because of the jealousy that occurs when a partner finds that his or her other half is getting banged by someone else.
so ban sex of all types unless you apply for and get a permit.
