Maybe an elementary question to most of you, but how do you determine BF%? Thanks.
Find a scale that allows you to enter your age. Based on your age and weight it will give you an accurate body fat % lmao

Based on this: Body Fat Percentage Calculator ** Recommended for You
Results:
Using your measurements of a 40 inches waist and weight of 240 pounds your body fat percentage we calculated using FOUR different methods. Your body fat estimates are 18.49 % using the U.S. Army body fat algorithm, or
9.80 % using the U.S. Marine body fat algorithm, or
14.64 % using the U.S. Navy body fat algorithm, or
14.77 % using the formula developed by the YMCA.
These methods are not as accurate as a water displacement test, but is usually within 1-3% for most people. If you have a very small waist, it will show a low value. On the other hand, if you carry all your extra weight around your middle, you may have an elevated percentage. Please note that having this extra weight in the middle is a high risk factor for heart disease and stroke. The waist to hip ratio calculator can give you more information.
Men are typically lower in body fat percentage, averaging around 23%, with an ideal of about 15%. Highly fit athletes are between 5-10%. Remember these are guidelines; your physician should help you determine the ideal weight and body fat for you.
So at 18.49% i have some work to do!!
Lol I was joking on my post. If you are around average it might be close to accurate.
Apparently not even close according to the body fat calculator on the scale at the gym. My trainer guessed 33% and the scale said 30%. I'm 53 and feel something is wrong. My metabolism has slowed. I used to be able to eat and drink whatever and not gain a pound. That's changing as I get older. Now I have this (seemingly) impossible belly fat that doesn't want to give no matter what I try. I'm busting my ass in the gym, eating clean and more. I'm on around 380 test c/week and I am using TestStack and GW-501516. Could it be my thyroid? I've read that an underactive thyroid is one of the most misdiagnosed in the U.S for folks 50+. Frustrated here.
