It was an interesting twist but I would have been happy with the "cinder Earth"...it made a point.

I didn't have the time to watch the series (and I hate starting mid-stream), but I just couldn't resist the finale. I was bored. (when will filmmakers stop ripping off plot points from 5 Million Years to Earth?)

The first was an action/adventure with plots inspired by the cold war. The new one is a drama with plots inspired by the war on terror.

I don't have cable and haven't had a chance to catch the last season. The last episode I saw, they had found earth and it had been nuked. Watched the original when I was a kid, love the new one. Is the last of the final five cylons revealed in the season you are talking about?

It was Earth I they found...you get the whole final five story once the last one is revealed...
