I played it on PS3 last night and was surprised to find it better than I thought it'd be. Never played BF before so it took some getting used to with how quick you die. Definitely not run-n-gun, pretty tactical.
I also just got done playing it on PC, and it definitely felt better for me personally. This is in between twitch and tactical shooting and I feel much more acclimated with kb/mouse here.
Some impressions:
The first thing that grabbed me was the sound design. Amazing. From concussion grenades to weapons to anti air artillery blasts ripping through the sky...it's like combining the movie Heat with Battle Los Angeles. Heavier footsteps and breathing when running are subtle but appreciated touches to enhance immersion too. The levels feel active as well, giving the impression that you're a part of something bigger than your immediate surroundings.
Weapons have a nice kick to them, movement is perfectly weighted and feels authentic. It's awesome being able to go prone or crouch-walk when needed, and they transition pretty smoothly.
Spawnpoints seem to depend on where the current objective is at, ie they progress and vary as the level goes on. I saw a few people complain about the knife, which I agree on it being kinda slow and weak sauce at this point. I'm a noob to Battlefield though so it'll take a few more games to get in the flow of it.
I'd rather play this than any other MP shooter for the foreseeable future, if that's any indication of how good it is.
Here are some screens-

imageshack is being a pain though so they might not be full screen.
Set everything on Ultra besides shadows (high or medium I think) and 4x AF, no AA. Was averaging 60fps but that dropped almost in half when things started getting really hectic in the streets lol.
