I got it working finally. we should set a time up when we can all play on the same server. I dont play games that much at all, but this one is pretty sweet.

Just picked up the game this morning.
I officially fucking suck.
Game is a bit jerky on my system. I have a p4 1.7 with 512 megs pc 2100 ddr and a gf 4 ti4400. It should run pretty smooth, but even offline it's buggy. I'll have to screw around with my settings a bit more.
Still, it's tons o' fun!

it's all about harddrive speed here son lol.....i have the same problems, bad ass system but it's still slow......

I turned the sound levels down and my probs seem to be fixed.

my pc is alot suckier than that and it runs fine
just be sure to d/l the patches and if its still jerky lower the res

i don't know any servers because i always play with a friend or two instead of public servers, so your best guess is fine by me
i suck vs. real people. i kick some AI ass though!!!!

I think if you use All Seeing Eye to select servers (instead of the built in GameSpy one) then you can set up buddy lists and join the server they're on. I'm not sure about this tho cuz I just use the default.
I'd be into that .. the prob is
1. getting on a server
2. communicating to you guys which one it is
3. you guys finding it while I/we are on it
4. ensuring your pings are acceptable (I filter out all servers with pings > 150)
5. making sure there are enough empty spots on the server.
Right now its 1:25 for me... I can be playing in 4 hours.

never mind found a website. man that's weird. because when i first saw battlefield 1942 i though it be cool with all new stuff, and then i found out about the desert combat mod. then after seeing that i thought it be bad ass to have a game like starwars. and their coming out with a mod for that also....

Yeah, I dloaded desert combat and the 2 map packs from fileplanet.
I work evenings, but took of early and came home a played some more. hehehe

It only takes me a few seconds to join a server. Sounds like it may be you internet connection. You should try a speed test.

yeah it's all good man. i forget what is was, but it's a pretty fast cable conection. I think it's just my harddrive trying to keep up......I hate those queers who shoot you before you can get into a jet so they can take it
