So many threads in this forum about what products are "about to be outlawed/pulled from the market".... I am sick & tired of the government protecting me from myself! They outlaw this, ban that, and mandate restrictions on the other..... All as if we're kindergartners and cannot read or make intelligent decisions for ourselves. Dammit, I take responsibility for my own actions, and I never ask anybody else to pay for my mistakes.
I understand and fully support the laws which disallow the use of steroids by competing athletes in pro sports, since there are greedy sponsors out there who will all but force at gunpoint the athletes to juice, if not illegal.
Since Alcohol and tobacco are HEAVILY taxed, and are multi-BILLION dollar industries in the USA, the government has not outlawed those items. But steroids don't make money for the government, and the feel-good politicians think we all need their protection since we're too stupid and immature to calculate risks on our own. If I make a decision to do something with my body, which results in my getting hurt or killed, how in the F is that the government's fault??? Rather than to outlaw steroids, they could just post up a database of statistics, and make you be 21 just like for liquor purchases. Tax Roids, put aside a fund for public education on them, and hold some in trust to cover any costs, such as medical treatment for idiots, if they think that's absolutely necessary to satisfy the libs. With marijuana holding the potential for zillions of dollars in state taxes in CA, it's coming very close to getting made legal for taxable sale. Enough said.
