Banana Pre-workout???

I have been eating a banana daily before I workout with weights and cardio.
Is this okay, what is the best pre-workout food??? I usually do 30 - 40 minutes of cardio after weights daily....

Any thoughts????
 
Ya my buddy eats a banana before he works out , but i own him. I have a ham and cheese sandwich before every workout!! Really anything with complex carbs and protein is good prior to your workout, most of the carbs in a banana are sugar carbs. Only thing good about banana's is they taste good and their high in potassium.

Theirs nothing worse then working out and being hungry as hell!

Working out until you puke is worse :D. especially if you don't get to the trash can on time. luckily for me it has never come to that yet.

Sometimes i eat about 500 kcals before i do cardio (maybe 60/20/20 c/f/p), and this give me enough energy to get through 1100 calories in cardio and lifting.
