Banana in PWO shake?

Right now I have whey blended with gatorade and a banana as my PWO shake. Should I forget the banana and just add more gatorade?

(Also, does it make a difference if I eat the banana separately...does that slow the absorbtion and make it less effective?)
 
Ideally, gatorade isnt the best choice. Its main use is to refill electrolytes that were used during intense, anaerobic exercise such as long distance running, or playing sports. Gatorade has simple sugars but not the fastest absorbing sugar. You need dextrose and maltodextrine sugars. You should have 40-50g of whey and double that in dextrose for pwo(1/2cup). I wouldnt eat the banana. If you dont have dextrose eat smartys until you get the dex.
