Baking your gear?

Riddle me this guys, should you bake your gear (Specifically FINA) regularly (like every 5 days or so) at 250 degrees for 15 mins, cool and repeat 2 or 3 times to insure bacteria and/or viri do not accumulate in your vials? I ask, because I notice that you inject small amounts of air into the vial to create back pressure- makes the oil easier to get out of the vial- and this air is not sterile. What do you think?

If you bake it I would only do it the one time. Multiple bakings is not required and the air bubble that get back into the bottle will not cause any problems.

I forget that exact number but I believe the temp required to denature the test esters is very high. As far as baking is concerned it is less necessary that people may think. Theoretically a good filter removes all the bacteria. Therefore the only thing that could be in your bottle is a virus which is highly unlikely with proper procedures. Also, baking to evaporate BA is also a myth as it requires 400 degrees fahrenheit to boil the alcohol.

No!

If it's home made fina, then follow the baking instructions, if it's normal gear than why would I ever bake it? You don't see doctors baking all of there injectable vials!

Yea, if its Fina then bake your shit a few times to make sure you kill bacteria, and virus- 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 mins, let cool and repeat three times. This is a necessity unless you like to inject germs.

My question is about the vial getting bacteria from pushing air into the vial (this obtains back pressure and makes it easier to fill the syringe). This air is not sterile, so should you bake it on a regular basis- like every week or something? Will this harm your solution?
