Bad Dieting Experiences??

pursuit

New member
Hi all,

I'm currently trying to cut (although I'm not using any AAS). I started 4 weeks ago at 10% body fat and have been trying to make it to 7% in 6 weeks. I haven't measured yet, but I think I'm not doing so well. I've lost a minimum amount of fat but I feel I've lost some muscle too.

Would anyone like to share their dieting experiences whether that be good or nightmarish. Have any of you had any really bad cutting experiences? Or have any of you managed to cut body fat spectacularly without AAS?

PERSUIT: whats your stats? How many Cals/Daily do you intake. Im currently cutting since Jan1 and so far i have lost alot of fat. was 240 now 180(weighed in today). I lost ALOT OF muscle the first month from bad dieting(slimfast diet). But i minimise this when i got my diet fixed up. I WAS eating about 1000 cals daily wich was WAYYYY to low. Minimum Cals for a man is 1800. So eating below that will cause your body to eat muscle and perserve Fat.. So if you seem to be loosing muscle, get your diet and macros right and hopefully that would prevent that.

Post ya height/stats maybe we can help you better.

Good Luck

Here's my diet experience over the years, I'll keep it brief....

If I go with the typical "clean" diet, lots of protein good carbs and low fat, I get stuck at that magic 10% mark. My body stubbornly holds onto the last bit of abdominal fat and I will inevitably start to loose a little lean tissue

However, If I eat a diet high in protein, moderate fat and low carb, I can easily break the 10% barrier without loosing lean tissue. On that diet I continue to make strength and size gains while loosing bodyfat. Got down to 6% on that regime without a hitch

Many people on the board may disagree with that, but years of trial and error and personal experience tells me otherwise

Good luck

I believe ya, im currently cutting too, Clean Diet, 2000 cals/daily, 50% protien 25 carbs and 25 good Fats.

Been on the diet since about feb. (jan was the crash diet), lost a very high amount of fat. Im currently 180lbs, and around 16% BF. I will undoubtable loose that 6% within the next 2-3 months. I dont think im going to change the diet for the remainder of the year since i have had so much results!
Good Luck!

Diet's are my area of expertise. I know exactly how to manipulate my body with or without AAS. The worst dieting story I have is about a good friend of mine that was dieting for a state show. He had a "guru" helping him that I won't name, but will say that he just helped a heavyweight turn pro at the Nationals. Anyway this guy's diets sucked. I would always laugh at what he had people eating. My friend is very thick. 5' 7" and before dieting about 240 lbs. The last 5 weeks he ate, I shit you not, 4 oz. of pollack and 5 lettuce leaves 6 times a day... :worried: . We were living together at the time and he could hardly get out of bed. The only reason he kept the muscle he did was the amount of AAS he was using...around 5 grams a week! He was also using T3. It was sick. After the show we went to eat pizza at a popular post show binging spot where all the BB's went. He started eating, went to the bathroom and threw up, and then came back and kept eating. It was insane. Now I handle all his diets... ;)
