Every morning I wake up my back feels tight like its in clamps, vice. I walk around after a bit and it usually goes away, somedays it hurts ALOT some none. lately ive been injuring my back alot more it seems , 1x a month im in my PCP office complaining about back and perscribed meds and im out the door , I don't want this to be the norm. I scheduled a MRI and they found nothing, it seems I keep "straining" my lower back- is there anything I can do to prevent this? is it to much weight? train to often? shitty forms? I dont know! But I love to lift and don't/can't give it up! Suggestions pls. I strech everyday before lifting..

Ive had to cut back on my lifting severely due to this but even cutting back I still get injured? I dont know! :P

What you need to do is go to an orthopedist with a subspecialty in sports medicine, or a sports medicine clinic. Primary's are useless when it comes to this stuff, they're only good for internal stuff (heart/lungs/blood). You probably initially sprained/strained and you aren't completely recovering from the injury, you just keep reinjuring it. You might need pt or work hardening. Pills don't do anything but mask the symptoms.

When you've properly recovered you need someone to look at your form and your body kinetics to avoid doing the same thing again. If you keep damaging, even mildly, it eventually will become a major injury.

Thanks alot, I will schedule the P.T originally suggested, then hire a trainer to look at my form?

Might sound ridiculous but could be something as simple as ur mattress since it is hurting when you wake. I got a new matress and I don't wake with an aching back anymore. Just a thought..

Thanks bro a friend suggested this to me and being the poor college student I am , my boss at my internship was actually getting rid of his *double* I slept on a twin prior, it seems to help a bit but I feel like there is definately a underlying condition.
