EEEEEEEEwwwwwwwwwww!!
I love my doc, don't get me wrong. But he just ain't a guy that I would want to be layin' under.
Besides he has been married to his wife and office manager for like, FOREVER. They have 5 kids LOL. So I guess they "practise what they preach!"
Seriously, one of the reasons I like this guy.
After my first visit to his office I had to make a call for some small reason (can't recall just now) and I was very suprized that he actually answered his phone (his practise was WAY smaller back in the day). Anyways he knew EXACTLY WHO I WAS SIMPLY BECAUSE HE HEARD MY VOICE. That didn't mean that I was so remarkable - it meant THAT HE ACTUALLY LISTENED TO ME WHEN I WAS IN HIS OFFICE A FEW WEEKS PRIOR. That was only the first TEENY reason why he is a GREAT DOC and just all around decent human being.
He and his office have helped me cut through insurance BS to help save me money. He and his partners have ALWAYS taken time to listen - ALWAYS! I have NEVER ONCE felt like I was on an assembly line nor was I ever given that condescending "I am the doctor so I am God - You are just a silly simple woman" shit. If they didn't know "the answer" they bent over backwards to FIND IT FOR ME. When I was pregnant and subsequently delivering NO ONE EVER TOUCHED ME OR TALKED TO ME EXPECT HIM OR ONE OF HIS PARTNERS (Two sisters who trained under him.). And that was FOUR TIMES... Regardless of my insurance, how much or how little I could pay....
I trust him w/my life. Hell, he saved it a few years back after I unexpectedly began to severely hemmorage after a very minor and routine hernia repair.
There are VERY FEW doctors like that. Too many don't even LIKE medicine! But I guess they feel like maybe they have to do "something" to recoup the money that their parents shelled out for their education.
I can't imagine how difficult it must be to be a doctor for MANY reasons. But the answer is simple: if you don't like your job, then get another one! Don't take it out on those that are around you!
