Read that the whole thing was sparked when a gang of Lebanese guys beat up 2 lifeguards, undoubtedly there would have been influences from right wing groups spuring the the crowd on but regardless I think the message from the community was clear. I'd like to have a home in Australia some day also, love the place, would hate to see it go the way the US and the UK has. Thing about the muslims though is that they never forget a grudge, they turn a molehill into a mountain holy war, this thing could go on for years.

Its been going on for six years and it never got addressed. The Lebanese gangs terrorize whites on that beach and nothing gets done. Finally, people got sick of it and responded but its been a long time coming. THey were really bad in their disrespect towards people, spitting on whites, roving in large numbers intimidating people.
It seems like this was a good thing so that the problem finally gets addressed

The Aborigines are treated well by the Australian gove now. If you can prove that you have even a quarter of Aboriginese in you then you can get free University education, interest free loans or reduced interest loans. Anything they ask for they get given. Australia has offered the Aboriginese people parts of land which are probably the best in terms of agriculture etc BUT all they need to do is work the damn thing or show they want to use it for more than just traditional rituals (and that is another story which i won't get into).
