Here is my idea. A thread, perhaps even this thread, should always be kept alive to serve a single purpose. What is that purpose?

To let people know when something has gotten old, is not funny anymore, is annoying people (i.e. me), and should be discarded in favor of new devices.

I'll start with two off the top of my head:

1)Mourning for/remembering DUSTY (implying that DUSTY = WODIN is still ok once in a while, though).

2)Use of the name LARRY in any post where it is not relevant.


It almost goes without saying, but this should be a sticky, so that it may benefit all of you who may not realize (from time to time) when it's simply time to move on.

As for #2, I don't get the whole Larry thing, but I agree, it isn't cool nor was it ever funny from the getgo. In fact, it's so unfunny I will cease to acknowledge it. Eat it.
