You are obviously very pro freedom and pro individual rights, however i have noticed that you seem opposed to labor unions and the idea of price negotion on prescription drugs.

The problem with pro-unionists is their belief that they have a "right" to their specific job. Looking for better employment or alternative fields is unfathomable to them, yet common occurances to non-unionized individuals.

I can't find the prescription drug thread however, but im pretty sure you were opposed to 'price controls', which is a form of price negotiation via monopoly. If you are in favor of individual freedom why are you opposed to these thing, as they strike me as nothing more than freedom of assembly, which is recognized by both the US constitution and the Universal declaration of human rights.

whats the difference between a labor union and any other form of freedom of assembly?

consider this a bump for ABL.

the fundamental issues are not unions per se, but the legislation created by government that favors unions (sometimes exclusively) over non-union employees. The law effectively forbids corporations from ignoring unions.

Drugs:
likewise, if groups of individuals formed assemblies to negotiate with pharma companies, that's freedom of assembly. When the government negotiates with the pharma co's, there is not free negotiation as one side can make the laws.

I have never stated that I am against the right of people to unionize or enter into collective bargaining contracts with companies, I simply see them as logical and empirical failures economically. I am against unionism as a condition for work, i.e. anti-right to work.

We are currently being told that the US is losing jobs to cheaper labor and costs in other countries, I cannot fathom how unionism, which inevitably increases costs above market value, benefits the company, the long term security of the employees, and the consumers.
