Aspirating on delt injections

Do you guys have any tips about how to aspirate when doing delt injections? Do you use one hand or can you somehow how use both?

There's no way to use both hands. I don't know how exactly to explain it, but it's easy to do. Just play around with it and you'll figure it out.

I usally use my thumb,After sticking like a knife i aspirate with my thumb nail.I see small bubbles then i just depress the shot...I have never seen any blood so far I always use 27g 5/8.Good luck.............How about some karma

I also find it tricky to aspirate on delt injections. I get on my knees after the needle is in then prop the syring on something (while still in my delt) and manuvere my free hand to a posistion where I can aspirate with thumb and 2 fingers. Last night I aspirated no blood but when I pulled out blood shot all over the place. Just thought I'd give you something to think about proping the syringe up so you can re postion your hand to aspirate.

I just tried Test Ape's method and it worked great! I did have a bit of blood run out of my left delt after withdrawing the needle. Guess I just passed through a vein cause it feels fine now. Thanks for the input guys.

first time i hit delt shots, it was a bit tricky to aspirate, if you are doing a right delt shot, jab the pin in with your left hand curled up around the syringe, then when you get it in, pull out on the plunger a bit with your thumb...simple as that
