Aspirate and air bubbles

New member
Why is it ok to shoot the air bubbles that come into the needle when I aspirate but not normal bubbles. Is there a differnece? Maybe a stupid ? but always makes me think when I see it. Thanks

The reason you aspirate is so that you do not hit a vien or artery. Bubbles can be shot into the muscle with no problems - the problem occurs when you shoot an air bubble in your vein.

You are correct, but even in a vein it would have to be a very large amount....lol
