She's not any more of a cheater than Madonna, Britney Spears, Hennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson, Enrique Iglesias, any of the boy bands, most rappers, or anyone who dances while they perform. All these people perform to pre-recorded tracks. You can't sing and dance at the same time, it would sound like a dog panting.

Evanescence has their entire show on Protools multi-track. They perform live, but at any moment if anyone goes out of tune or their performance starts to go sour in any way, they can be replaced by the pre-recorded part immediately. I imagine it gets used a lot for the high notes that Amy can't hit live.

Performances that are either enhanced by, or replaced by, pre-recorded tracks are the new norm for those sorts of high-profile acts.
