You just got to pass laws for that Alaska one of the most oil enriched states of the United States is federal wilderness areas and can not be drilled. Regardless of the fact that is is so damned cold there and most of the places are never visited by anyone. there is plenty of room for the cute little seals and your drilling rigs.

LOL, no I don't work for him. Contrary to popular belief, drilling has very little impact on wildlife. I have chased off tons of deer trying to drink from the reserve pit, rattlesnakes come in droves, wild turkey bring their extended families around and hell we even had a bear wander into a change house and accidently get locked in while she was shredding gear and ransacking lunches. No one wanted to open the door to let her out lol.

The chance of drilling in the barren tundra of Alaska now is seriously diminished. Increasing refining capacity in the states? Wanna bet?
I am crossing my fingers for $5.00/gal. and the resulting backlash.

very little impact how many miles long was the oil spill from the valdez?
A pip just broke a few months ago how many acres did it destroy?
drilling does have effects but the refinery process is where the most damage begins.

What pipe broke? Acres destroyed? NONE. How many acres did your neighborhood destroy? Nature can recover from an oil spill.

Actually, the most damage begins with your creating an insatiable demand for the product and an unwillingness to change your consumption and habits. Not with refining a product to meet your demand.

I will never understand people's position on this subject. I guess they don't want to be inconvenienced so they point to someone else to take care of the problem they helped create.

Oil is more important. J/K, but not really.

It was enlightening to hear a couple Newfies talking about baby seals and how the shoot them like prairie dogs while fishing and hunting. Any baby animal is cute. But cute doesn't pay the bills. Unless you are an 18 y/o with a webcam that is.
